Incoming materials inspection and testing

All the incoming materials have to be inspected before their release to the shop floors for further processing. It is verified for the conformance to the specific requirements as mentioned in the contracted specifications. The following reviews shall be carried out:

To check all the delivered items in the inward goods department for its coding, nomenclature, quantity etc.

These shall be properly tagged and back / lot No. allotted to each accepted lot.

All the accepted items shall be sent to respective store for use.

All the rejected stores shall be kept separately and duly returned to the supplier with necessary information about the shortcoming observed.

In-process inspection and testing

In-process testing ensures the following:

Products are inspected, tested and classified as per the laid down Quality Plan.

Products compliance to the requirements is established by use of process monitoring at all stages.

Nonconforming / defective products are identified and segregated.

Appropriate records are maintained to ensure tracing of any feedback reports.
